This website is operated by ATUM TECH LLC, a web design and software development company based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. In this policy, “atum.tech,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to ATUM TECH LLC. You can reach us at hello@atum.tech or through the contact page.
What this policy covers
This policy covers the atum.tech website, including its contact form. It doesn’t cover the work we do for clients, such as building, hosting, or supporting their websites and software. That work is covered by the agreement for each project, and client websites have their own privacy policies.
Information we collect
Information you give us
When you use the contact form, we collect:
- your name and email address,
- your company or organization, if you choose to include it, and
- the message you write, along with the date and time you sent it.
If you email us directly, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our server records basic technical information about each request, such as your IP address, the page requested, and the time of the request. We use these logs to keep the site running and secure. The contact form also uses your IP address briefly to limit how many messages can be sent in a short period, which helps block spam. That limit is tracked in memory and isn’t saved with your message.
Information stored in your browser
If you switch between the light and dark color themes, your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage under the name atum-theme. It stays on your device and is never sent to us. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- read and reply to your inquiry,
- prepare quotes and communicate with you about a possible or ongoing project,
- keep a record of our correspondence,
- protect the site against spam and abuse, and diagnose technical problems, and
- meet our legal obligations.
We don’t sell or rent personal information, we don’t use it for advertising, and sending an inquiry doesn’t add you to a mailing list.
How long we keep it
Contact form submissions and email correspondence are kept for as long as they’re useful for replying to you, for any project that follows, and for our business records. Server logs are kept for a limited time for security and troubleshooting. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, except for anything we’re legally required to keep.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, so information you send is encrypted in transit. Contact form submissions are stored in a database on a server we manage, and the database isn’t reachable from the public internet. No method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you send us.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what information we have about you and send you a copy,
- correct information that’s inaccurate, or
- delete your information.
To make a request, email hello@atum.tech from the address you used to contact us, so we can confirm the request is yours. We’ll respond promptly. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy law. We honor these requests regardless of where you live, and we won’t treat you differently for making one.
Children
This site is meant for businesses and adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Where information is processed
atum.tech operates from the United States, and the information described in this policy is processed in the United States. If you contact us from another country, your information will be transferred to and handled in the United States.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the site or our practices change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated. If a change affects how we use information you’ve already given us, we’ll tell you before it takes effect.
